Aim of the Camp:  The whole camp will cover the complete tour of the ancient Lycian’s well known trade path starting from Fethiye-Oludeniz and ending in Antalya-Kemer. The complete path of 500 km’s will be walked in 40 days in 9-day laps (8 nights, 9 days). The applicants are expected to select any one of these 4 periods.

The camp is primarily a trekking – scouting camp including the visits of the ancient Lycian cities, cultural and touristic excursions, and swimming. The detailed information on the ancient Lycian country can also be found by following the links provided at http://www.merih.com/likya

Lodging: With oval 3-person dome-tents

Costs: Travel cost to Turkey and back home + pocket money. A fee of USD100.- per person is charged to cover the cost of food and intercity transportation. Payments should be made before May 17th, 2002 to: Sekerbank Birlik Branch, Ankara; Acct: 1215 (Koru Rotary)

Cancellation: In case of withdrawal until May 31st, 2002, the fee will be refunded in full. After this date there can be no refunds. We recommend that the participants make a special cancellation insurance.

Insurance:  Participants must have health, accident and liability insurance cover according to the RI recommendations (compulsory).

Equipment:  The accepted participants will receive a detailed list of clothing and equipment suggestions. Although not necessary, the participants can also bring their their own sleeping bag, mat and/or racksacks.

Other: It is prefererred that participants have some scouting and/or trekking experience. Beginners are also welcome, provided that they are active in sports and they are in excellent physical condition

Arrival: Maximum 1 day before the selected lap to either Dalaman or Antalya Airports (Camps 1&2--> Dalaman and Camps 3&4&5-->Antalya airports).

Participants:  Max. 30 for every lap. No country restrictions. Boys and girls mixed.

Age:  18 to 25

Please note that the complete tour is organized with the Middle East Technical University Scouts and regardless of the number of participants the complete tour will be realized with teams formed by 30 attendees (either local or international).

The organizing committee will try to maintain the announced start and end points and the dates. Please check the information on the web pages frequently.
